How to Write a Research Paper

It requires years of knowledge and training to get to the point where you are able to confidently write a research paper. But when you do, your classmates will be jealous!

What I discovered once I’d written my very first paper was that once I knew what I was doing, I could just sit back and see. When you have finished your writing, you need to turn it all in. You may want to go back and edit your own work so that you have something which meets your own specific needs.

Make sure you send your written piece to a different professor. Different professors are far better at reading student work. Also, depending on the subject of your paper, you will likely wish to learn about your subject from an outside source (like a writer who writes about that topic).

As soon as you’ve written your paper, you’ll have to either send it to a different professor or wait patiently for it to head out for grading. To help with this, you need to always include a suggested bibliography on your report. This includes all the references listed on your paper. The best practice would be to signal where the reference is located, not the title of the writer of this reference.
